Data cleaning is the process of eliminating and correcting data entry errors such as duplicate entries, inaccurate entries (spelling mistakes etc), irrelevant data, incorrect formats and incomplete or inaccurate data. Data may also be corrupted/polluted by import processes, storage as well as various iterations of data dictionaries.
The process:
The client provides us with a sample of what a clean dataset would entail. At WAZO we use various methods to process the data to arrive at the required state, scripting, interactive processing and reformatting of the data. Each dataset is unique and requires a custom approach to cleaning. By providing a sample we will be able to provide an accurate quote depending on the health of the data. Read more on our database management service page.
WAZO tailors our products to what the client requires. Data cleaning is on offer as a stand alone product. If your data requirements are not listed on our services page we might still be able to assist! Please do not hesitate to reach out with any assay or data related issues you are facing.
We can flexibly match your requirements with database management. We are able to clean, design, host, migrate, maintain and consult on any existing or future database projects. We are platform agnostic and are able to work within the limitations and requirements of your existing data infrastructure. Read more on our database management page for further information.
Our staff have worked on reports that are currently available publicly on the ASX. The reporting requirements for the ASX and NZSX are similar and we are able to deliver reports that meet both regulatory bodies requirements. For further information on ASX reporting requirements check out our blog post on the JORC code.
Review of client assay data, quality control methods and analytical methods. Followed up with a statistical analysis of the quality control data, represented graphically in the report with client recommendations. Read more about this process on the assay consulting service page.

The JORC Code applies to all companies listed on the Australian Securities Exchange and the New Zealand Stock Exchange. In layman’s terms this is the regulatory framework for data pertaining to the ASX and NZSX. JORC Code adherence is not mandatory unless publicly traded but is pertinent to future proofing your data quality in the event your company is sold or listed on a relevant exchange.
Read more about the JORC Code here from the Australasian Joint Ore Reserves Committee or get a high level overview from our JORC code blog post on the same topic.
The Canadian reporting system, known as The NI 43-101 Code is highly prescriptive and has a higher level of rigidity than the JORC code. This results in far less wiggle room when writing reports and the knowledge of what is required. Put simply the JORC code is a much higher level set of reporting requirements and the Ni 43-101 is very precise in its requirements.
The Canadian regulator is also known to be more meticulous in its review process and are more likely to reject reports that are not strictly compliant.

We offer fixed rate or time and materials based on the project and will work this out on a case by case. Time and materials are typically reserved for open ended projects with an unclear scope or work that falls outside the scope of works listed on our services page.
We offer CC and bank transfer and require a 20% deposit before work. Larger projects are typically broken up into milestones with up to 60% of the total value being released as the project progresses. The final outstanding amount is due upon acceptance of the project.
We have a “proof of work” policy if required where we are happy to demonstrate our capabilities with a small sample of the work. This will typically be a subset of a dataset or early milestone in a larger project. This occurs prior to an agreement on the scope of works.
All projects are backed by our after sales support warranty. If there are any issues with work provided we are happy to review and correct problems free of charge. Any additional work will require an additional consultation session and scope of works.
